In a group as a healer monk, (me/mo in my case) in loading Fast Cast and Heling prayers, would Healing Seed be as effective as Healing hands, The fast casting should cut down the cast time. After you use Healing Seed, use Energy Tap to gain back the energy.
Any comments on if Healing Seed+Energy tap w/ Fast Cast & Max healing would be as good as Healing Hands?

Did it by myself using Henchmen as a W/Mo. It took quite a few tries to kill him once I got him to spawn. I found him in the west near the Tower surrounded by Hydras.

People saying this skill is useless, have no clue.
It's a very good and cheap self heal when playing wammo.
It's low recast time, lets you cast it pretty often.
Your comparison to SH, is wrong. Because, if you take 10 dmg and SH reduces it to 0, then you gained 0 health. But if you take 10 dmg, and HH heals you for say 25, you actually gained health, that's why it's a healing skill.
When playing warrior, most dmg you take comes in small stacks, you take 1-3 from all attacks, which is why this skill heals for insane ammounts for only 5 energy.

Two the guy two above - Boss patterns haven't changed on that island.
This was actually brought as a gimmick build into Alliance battles on a monk.
When Alliance battles first started (before the TR takeover) it was overflowing with Warriors and Assassins and such on top of the obvious MMs. So it'd be 1 monk on the team's job to take the attention of all those melee types and just tank them while the rest of the team can cap/kill in piece (warriors and such like to pile on the nearest monk). This turned out to be a good elite for the job because of its obvious advantages when being hit by Melee type characters.
Since the TR takeover though, you see alot less of this.

I'm assuming you mean PvE here, because under no circumstance whatsoever should a wammo use this in PvP.
You don't PvP much uh?

But if you take 100 dmg from a lightning orb you only have a net reduction of 25. I.E. the exact same effect as shielding hands, only 7 more.

It is good in some 2nd class build only vs certain situations. For example it is good vs 3,4 damage types at one, since it heals on dmg recieved, thus when some assasin dual strike you with vamp, it will proably negate the hits. Still it got too large recharge to be taken often in pvp.

For most people who can't find him in perdition rock, it may be he's a random spawn. There are a whole bunch of bosses and a whole bunch of spawn points. Plenty of people have mentioned where some spawn points are and you shouldn't have a problem finding a map of the spawn points. Just go to the nearest spawn point, hold ctrl and see if he's there. If not, map back to ember light camp, then go out and check the spawn point again till he spawns. Then kill and cap as usual. You can also go on a cap trip, just travel around the island and kill things, you might cap some other elites there, or have guildies who want elites from other classes come with you.
